Since our stealth snow storm of last night dumped 5″ of surprise snow on Golden, I was forced to drive south in order to attempt to capture an image of Comet Pan-Starrs. Way south…
Fortunately, I was able to get just south of the western clouds that had been chasing me down Hwy 285 all day, though the location wasn’t exactly optimal. Below find two images and one timelapse video of the rather unusual event, a naked-eye comet coming fairly close to a new (crescent) moon.
